Christmas Bread Making @HotPotPottery

Christmas traditionally was a time when people treated themselves to food not usually eaten any other time of the year. So delicious food sweetened with chocolate, nuts, sugar and fruit, made even better with the addition of eggs and butter.

So, Dede has brought together some delicious recipes from across Europe to share with you on her Christmas Breads course. So join Dede just before Christmas to learn how to make delicious Christmas Bread for yourself and indulge yourselves!

Course outline: you will learn how to make Italian Panettone, German Stollen, Authentic German Lebkuchen and Dutch Speculaas Spelt Xmas Biscuits.

You will learn about:

  • how to make and work with sweet enriched doughs
  • five stages of bread making
  • different flours
  • dried and fresh yeast

The Class will be 10am – 3pm and will cost £65.00 which will include a tasty vegetarian lunch served in our cosy tea-room & gallery.

All classes will be in the tea-room and gallery space at Hot Pot Pottery, The House of Bread, Ross Road, Christchurch, GL16 7NS. The maximum class size will be 6 people. The tea-room and gallery at The House of Bread & Hot Pot Pottery are wheelchair accessible (inc. toilet facilities) and there is private courtyard parking. Payment will be made in advance to Dede Liss (payment details will be provided on booking and late cancellation fees may apply once a booking is made).
