Classes & Activities

Get in Touch with your Creative Side

At Hot Pot Pottery we love to get people in touch with their creative side and offer fun pottery classes and pottery painting sessions for you to try. Our activities are great fun for all ages and a brilliant way to celebrate a birthday or a hen do!

Pottery Painting Sessions

For all ages. Pottery Painting Sessions are bookable in our cosy gallery Thurs-Sun 10-12 or 2-4 (with less availability Sundays in winter) and food options can be pre-ordered and added to your pottery experience. To run a Pottery Painting Session we need at least 4 people (and can seat up to approx. 20). If you are a smaller group or on your own it is always worth contacting us to see if others have booked. Find out more….

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no pottery lessons/pottery painting sessions available Sat 19 Jan or 1-10 Feb (inclusive).

Pottery Trial Classes

For age 5 and above. Pottery Trial Classes are in our studio and are for those wanting to get their hands in the clay and give it a go (including wheel throwing). They are a lot of fun, include 3 clay techniques and last 2 hours. They are perfect for groups of friends or families. We take 2-8 people and classes are bookable Thurs-Sun 10-12 or 2-4 (with less availability on Sunday in winter). Find out more….

PLEASE NOTE: There will be no pottery lessons/pottery painting sessions available Sat 19 Jan or 1-10 Feb (inclusive).

8 Week Pottery Classes

At certain times in the year (usually Spring/Autumn) we offer 8 week Pottery Classes. Please Contact Us if you would like to register your interest.

Creative Breaks

If you are planning to stay with us in our accommodation at The House of Bread you could either take advantage of the great 10% discount on our Pottery Trial Classes (exc. delivery) OR ask us to put together a Creative Break just for you.

In Development!

We are currently researching a new idea….. ‘Pizza & Pots’. This will be an afternoon of  pottery and pizza dough making followed by pizza assembling, cooking and eating and leaving the pots to fire overnight in the embers. Pots can then be picked up the following morning. While this won’t be as robust as a biscuit firing we are hoping it will still give a lovely finish to the pots you make. Please note: this will be a summer activity only as we will be cooking and eating outside!

In terms of payment, we prefer CASH if possible as we are no longer allowed to share the cost of providing card payment facilities with customers. We hope you understand.
