Welcome to Hot Pot Pottery

Our Tea-room & Gallery

We are a cosy tea-room & gallery offering a small menu of home-made cakes, freshly prepared lunches and a range of hot/cold drinks in a lovely setting.

Tucked down a quiet lane our tea-room is a cosy setting to take in our pottery with a coffee, cake or lunch. Or just relax on our sofas in front of the woodburner (in colder months) or sit outside in our pretty courtyard when it is hot. We are dog friendly and have some courtyard parking. We have free Wifi, we welcome children & have a treasure chest with toys in it!

Our Opening Times

Our tea-room & gallery (inc. Pottery Painting) – is open Fri-Sun 11-4 Easter-end Oct (inc. Thurs in summer). Pottery painting parties can be booked outside tea-room & gallery opening times for groups of 8 or more.

Our Pottery Trial Classes – need to be booked in advance and are possible Thurs-Sun year round (less availability Sundays in winter) and are usually 11-1 or 2-4.

Pottery for Sale

Our pottery is displayed in our gallery in an informal manner  on furniture rather than plinths, offering the perfect setting to handle and choose the pottery pieces you want. There is a wide range of pottery to suit all budgets. Our pottery is all handmade on-site and inspired by the natural woodland surroundings and we often have work by other local artists in for sale in our gallery.

Pottery Activities

We also provide a range of fun pottery activities for you to get creative with including Pottery Trial Classes, and Pottery Painting.

Stay with Us

At Hot Pot Pottery we also have two holiday cottages (The House of Bread – Cottages) where we can provide self-catering (or book-ahead B&B accommodation) so you can get creative and stay with us! And….we offer a great 10% discount on Pottery Trial Classes (exc. delivery) for groups staying with us for more than one night.

If you wish to buy someone an ‘Experience Present’ or just treat them then vouchers are available and make a perfect present!

In terms of payment, we prefer CASH if possible as we are no longer allowed to share the cost of providing card payment facilities with customers. We hope you understand.
