Access Statement

At Hot Pot Pottery our studio & classes can accommodate those with a degree of physical, audio or visual limitation and we will always make every effort to be as accommodating as we can especially if we have prior information & discussion to ensure we have planned the seating and any activities appropriately.

However, it should be noted that unfortunately any classes that include wheel throwing do require core stability and the ability to get onto the pottery wheel seat and balance unaided.

In terms of wheelchair users and/or more serious physical impairment, our hand-building and painting classes are accessible but prior information & discussion is important to ensure appropriate seating & class planning. in addition, our studio toilet facilities require navigation of a step and while the toilet door opens outward and the toilet is fitted with grab rails, wheelchair users may need to use the toilet in our own house which has a wheelchair navigable door but does require assistance and ramps for access so again prior information is key to ensure accessibility.
