NEXT COURSE: STARTS Mon 27th Sept & FINISHES Mon 8th Nov (2-4pm or 6-8pm) with an evening display of finished pots Mon 15th November (friends and family also welcome!).
3 SPACES LEFT 2-4PM – 6 SPACES LEFT 6-8PM!
Due to Covid-19 & social distancing it is difficult to offer dip glazing as this works best working collaboratively in teams but we have managed to adapt most pottery making and intclude some decorating techniques to be low risk with regard to Covid-19.
NB: Min. numbers = 4, max. = 6.
What Our Longer Courses Cover
Our Autumn 2021 course will cover:
- pinch pots
- slab work for tiles and constructing 3D shapes
- using moulds
- attaching handles
- throwing on the wheel
- decorating with slip (coloured liquid clay) & paint on-glazes
What Should I Wear?
NOT your best clothes, clay is messy but does wash out! We provide aprons (although you might want to bring your own), towels and hand-wash facilities.
We advise taking off large rings and bracelets, trying long hair back and rolling up sleeves. Also, long fingernails are not helpful to you when working with clay!
How To Know What To Do!
All our classes are great fun and we provide full demos and help and advice throughout each class.
However, before you start the course there are two on-line videos it is worth watching as our in-class demos are a little more difficult to see at the moment due to social distancing. There are: AN INTRODUCTION TO WHEEL THROWING and PINCH POTS & TILES.
At The End Of The Course
Once decorated pieces have been clear glazed and fired for you at the end of the course we will have an evening display of pots which we will admire with a few drinks and nibbles.
Class Costs & Payment
This 7 week course will cost £280.00 which includes all teaching, materials, kit, firing, refreshments and chat. Payment will be required on-line into our account in advance.
